LEEDS POLICE 'A' TRIUMPH IN HARE CUP FINAL

Congratulations to Leeds Police 'A' who claimed the first major silverware of the season by defeating Old Modernians 'A' in the Hare Cup Final.

Leeds Police 'A' took first use of the wicket, at Great Preston CC, and with contributions of 65 from Bilal Mahmood and Giles Hall's 50 were able to post 207 before being all out.

In reply Chris O'Reilly's 47 was the major contributor for Old Modernians 'A', but it was the bowling of  Police's skipper Dan Hewer (4/25) which restricted them to a total of 186,  giving Leeds Police 'A' victory by 21 runs.
