Club Officials are reminded that the ECB and WCL strongly recommend that their Club Child Welfare Officers attend a 'Time to Listen' course. This is an essential part of the CWO's knowledge in order to protect our young players and adults from inappropriate behaviour and/or accusation.of such.
A recent course was poorly attended, at a cost to the Coaches Association due to the last minute non attendance of delegates. It is time to get serious about this matter and Club officials must ensure that a CWO is registered with the league, up to date with the relevant knowledge provided by these courses and active at club level in making all involved with young players aware of the issues.
